A New Series for a New Driver

Sinsheim - Gebhardt Motorsport and Courtney Crone Team Up for 2023
Prototype Cup Germany Season.

Courtney Crone and Gebhardt Motorsports are set to compete in the 2023
Prototype Cup Germany series. Testing is scheduled to begin in March, and
Crone will make her European LMP3 debut in the No. 70 Gebhardt
Motorsports Ginetta G61-LT in April. Crone says, “It is an honor to join
Gebhardt Motorsports in their Ginetta LMP3 in the Prototype Cup series,
the racing history and the achievements of Gebhardt Motorsports are both
very exciting. I am looking forward to joining them for the first race of the
year at the famous Hockenheimring.”

Crone is an example of how Gebhardt Motorsports supports young,
talented drivers and gives them a chance to develop their skills. Over the
years, Fritz Gebhardt has recognized and supported similar young talent, in
drivers like Frank Jelinski of the Group C era, AbdulRahman Al-Thani in the
Porsche GT3 Cup Middle East, and Jacob Erlbacher in the VLN series and
2022 Prototype Cup Germany.

COURTNEY CRONE - 2023 IMSA Diverse Driver Development Scholarship Winner.

Crone started 2023 season by winning the prestigious IMSA Diverse Driver
Development Award. This launched her North American racing season, as
she stood on the podium at Daytona International Speedway in the IMSA
VP Racing Sports Car Challenge. Crone is confident she can carry this
momentum forward to Europe.

Momo/Gebhardt Racing was an integral part of the IMSA GTP series with
Gianpiero Moretti and the Momo Porsche 962 from 1988 to 1991. The
team was the winner of the Kodak trophy in 1989 for the most miles driven
during the season without failure in the GTP class.

Gebhardt stated, “We see a lot of potential in Courtney and look forward
to having her on the team. The old Prototype Cup Germany season is
gone…the new season is here for the Gebhardt Motorsport LMP 3 Team.”
Gebhardt took a 20-year absence from the sport to focus on the
development of the family company. Gebhardt noticed, “The pause from
modern Motorsport has taught us that we have a lot to learn, and the last
race at Hockenheim proved that we are on the right path. So let’s see
what happens this season!”

Looking forward to this year in the Prototype Cup Germany, Crone says,
“The Ginetta will be a new challenge for me, as I also learn the European
circuits.” With preseason testing next month, and races beginning in April,
Crone is ready to rise to the challenge.
