Single race entry for Nielsen Racing in Spa

News | April 15, 2022

Nielsen Racing confirms single event entry for the first race of the 2022 season of the Prototype Cup Germany in Spa-Francorchamps, with a Duqueine D08.

It started with one car, one truck and a winning Radical European Masters campaign. Seven years, one 24 Hours of Le Mans and four LMP3 Team Champions trophies later, Sven Thompson and the Nielsen Racing team are ready to face a new challenge.
Having now competed and won their very first LMP2 championship in the Asian Le Mans, Nielsen Racing is looking forward to setting new records in 2022, adding the new series Prototype Cup Germany to their busy schedule.

Matt Bell, one of the two drivers piloting the Duqueine D08, is looking forward to it: “Very exciting to be joining a new championship at probably one of the best race tracks in the world. Not a bad way to kick it off! Really looking forward to the event and seeing how it runs for the first time. My team mate will be John Melsom. It will be his first season racing in Europe as well as his first full season racing prototypes. Really looking forward to working with him at Spa and build some experience for the season.”
