Pre-season testing for the 2022 Prototype Cup Germany will take place at the Nürburgring on 4-5 April, with available sessions free of charge for teams that have already registered full-season entries.
Teams that have confirmed full-season entries for the inaugural Prototype Germany Cup are invited to attend pre-season testing at the Nürburgring on 4-5 April free of charge.
The inaugural Prototype Cup Germany, a cost-effective series showcasing LMP3 Le Mans prototype racing organized by both CREVENTIC and ADAC, is set to get underway with an opening round at the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps on 22-23-24 April as a support race to the 2022 Hankook 12H SPA. Three further rounds are also planned at the Nürburgring (15-16-17 July), the Lausitzring (19-20-21 August) and the Hockenheimring (21-22-23 October) as budding Le Mans racers vie for overall and/or class championship honors.
Full season entry registration remains open until 15 March via The ADAC Entry Portal with further information available through CREVENTIC via proto@creventic.com and +31 485 471166. Season entry fees of €25,000 per LMP3 car include a registered spot at all four Prototype Germany Cup races in 2022, free-of-charge testing at the Nürburgring on 4-5 April, and the first three sets of slick tyres provided by series partner Michelin. Pre-season test days are also available for those who have not registered a full-season entry for €1,950.
Up to 225 minutes per day are available during the test days at the Nürburgring.
ADAC and CREVENTIC are also pleased to announce further updates to the Prototype Germany Cup sporting regulations, including each race weekend format. Each race weekend begins with two 30-minute Free Practice sessions followed by two 15-minute bursts of Qualifying. The weekend culminates with two 60-minute races, each of which includes a mandatory pit stop.
Re-fuelling is not permitted while free practice, qualifying or a race is underway, and must be completed before sessions begin. RON 102 racing fuel will be provided by the series partner, and while tyre changes will also not be allowed during an active track session, changes can be made if approved by race control should adverse weather and/or damage necessity them.
Tyres will be provided by series partner Michelin, and teams will be supplied with four sets of slick tyres for the opening round at Spa-Francorchamps (the first three sets are included with a full-season entry). For the remaining three rounds of the season, teams will be supplied with only three sets per event, but will be permitted one carry-over set from the previous race.
Teams setting up for the events at Spa-Francorchamps and the Nürburgring will have dedicated boxes in the pitlane. Space meanwhile will be assigned in the paddocks at the Lausitzring and the Hockenheimring.
