They will be competing with a Duqueine D08, piloted by German drivers Leonard Weiss and Torsten Kratz.

The Team has gathered many years of experience in endurance racing on the legendary Nordschleife with their GT Cars and has taken part in their memorable liveries in international endurance races within the 24H SERIES and GT World Challenge. Last year marked the first year in LMP3-racing for Wochenspiegel Team Monschau, with Leonard Weiss and Torsten Kratz taking the wheel of their Duqueine 08 in the Michelin Le Mans Cup and finishing 8th in the 2021 championship with two podium spots. The Duo also took part in this year's Asian Le Mans Series campaign, finishing third in the season classification with one podium spot.

Leonard Weiss is looking forward to starting out in this new series. “To have the opportunity to race another whole series in LMP3 alongside the Le Mans Cup is great. It's a great chance to compete in a new series and gain the race kilometres to learn even more in the LMP3. It's also a lot of fun to be racing with Torsten again this season, as we complemented each other very well last year and also get on very well off the track. I am looking forward to exciting battles during the season and of course I hope that we can be among the front runners and have a good result in the standings at the end of the season."

Torsten Kratz: "I am very happy that there is now also a championship for the prototypes at national level. For us, it's an ideal complement to the international program."
